Differences between a master's and postgraduate

We explain the differences between a master and a postgraduate to decide which fits your profile.

Which is better, to do a master or postgraduate? , What should I study if I want to be employed in a public institution ?, and if my goal is to enter a private company, what should I do? These and other doubts will be unveiled below.

A postgraduate course differs from a master's degree for its duration and the degree awarded at the end of the course . In addition, the second is positioned above any postgraduate.

Any type of training given after graduation (diplomas or degrees) is considered a postgraduate study.

On the other hand, those who take a master's degree will receive a master's degree and to do so before they must have obtained a degree or equivalent. In some cases, qualified professionals are qualified without a title, but instead of the title mentioned, they are given a certificate of achievement.
Also when we say graduate degree we do not refer to postgraduate training in the broad sense but to a specific type. The same, like the masters, requires a previous university degree although, if not, it is easier to access it. They have a duration of 15 credits (150 teaching hours).
Within the postgraduate training we can also find the doctorate. In it, researchers and academics are trained. It lasts two years and the student graduates once he prepares his doctoral thesis and defends it before a court.

The article argues that if you want to enter work for a private company or an industry, you'd better do a graduate or master's degree. However, if your goal is to join a public institution or be a professor at a university, it is best to opt for the doctorate .
